Directions

If approaching on the A52 from the Ashbourne direction, proceed through Whiston, Froghall and Kingsley.  About a mile after leaving Kingsley, at the T-junction (bathroom showroom ahead), turn right signposted Stoke on Trent (still A52).  Shortly turn right on the A520, signposted Leek, and then take the first turning on the right into Consall Lane.  Proceed through the village and, just over quarter of a mile thereafter turn right into the nature reserve (immediately after drive to Consall Hall Gardens).  Proceed for some little distance (speed humps) and on reaching a bungalow on the left hand side, go straight ahead through the stone gate posts and proceed down the hill.  Where the tarmac'd road bends round sharply round to the right go straight ahead onto a private road, continuing downhill, following this road to the river bridge (ignore left hand fork to the Black Lion Pub).  Cross over the river bridge immediately followed by the railway/canal bridge, follow the road round to the right, past two stone cottages on the left, then right over a further canal bridge and continuing straight ahead where the property will be found on the left hand side.
