Place of Worship
The Chapel is likely to have been constructed in the early-1900s, with the Assembly Hall to the rear constructed at a slightly later date. Both buildings are of brick construction under pitched roofs, with slate tiles. The buildings are linked by way of pitched and monopitch tiled roofs. To the front elevation, a canopy was added in the late-1970s/early-1980s.
There are powder-coated aluminium-framed double glazed entrance doors providing access to a reception lobby, with double timber and glazed doors leading to the Chapel, which is open-plan, with central heating radiators, carpeted floor, exposed roof trusses, and
eaves of 4.8m to the inside of the haunch. The windows to the rear elevations are UPVC-framed and double glazed. To the rear of the Chapel is the Vestry, and a link
with side disabled access to the rear building, together with ladies and gents WC facilities. The Assembly Hall provides open-plan space, with a row of offices down one side of the room, together with kitchen and storage facilities on the opposite side. The areas have the benefit of carpeted floors, and suspended ceilings with strip lighting.
The property has a gross internal area (GIA) of 3,785 sq. ft. / 351.6 sqm.
It is believed that mains gas, electricity, water, and drainage were previously connected to the property. No tests have been undertaken, and no warranties are given or implied.
The property has previously been used as a Place of Worship, and falls within Use Class F1 of the Town and Country (Use Classes) Order 1987, (Amended) (England) Regulations 2020. The property offers the potential for alternative uses, and we recommend that interested parties make their own enquiries with the local planning authority, East Staffordshire Borough Council.
