The auction, on Thursday 21st July at the iPro Stadium, will see 67 lots offered for sale under the hammer from across Derbyshire and the rest of the UK and with *guide prices starting from only £3,000 there is something for every type of buyer, as Andrew Parker, auctioneer and managing director, explains:
“Whether it’s a flat to renovate and sell on, a semi-detached to move in to, or even a house with a tenant already in place to add to a rental portfolio there is something in our Derby July catalogue to take a look at.
“The benefit of buying a property in our auction room is that once the gavel falls the sale is secure, a deposit is paid and contracts are exchanged. The sale cannot fall through like it can with private treaty sales through an estate agent.”
Amongst the lots going under the hammer on Thursday 21st July at the iPro Stadium are:
- 129 Woodlands Road in Stanton, Burton-on-Trent – a double fronted two/three bedroomed period occupying a delightful semi-rural location with countryside views. The *guide price is £45,000+.
- 21 Cambridge Street in Spondon – a two bedroomed semi-detached property which requires a scheme of modernisation and improvement and which has a guide price of £65,000+.
- 123 Cameron Road in Derby – a two double bedroomed mid-terraced property with a guide price of £54,000+.
- 2 Magdala Cottages in Duffield – a charming one bedroomed mid-terraced brick-built cottage opposite the old Duffield Castle grounds and with a guide price of £78,000+.
Formerly known as Graham Penny Auctions, the business was acquired by the SDL Group in early 2016 in a deal which saw the Group’s auction operation double its total sales to more than £160m per annum taking it in to the top four nationwide and becoming the UK’s largest auction network outside of London. In the past 10 years SDL Graham Penny has raised over £460m and sold more than 4,800 lots for clients in Derby, Nottingham and Leicester and in 2015 alone it raised more than £72.6m from 22 auctions across the East Midlands.
Andrew added: “We have a busy viewing diary for all the lots in our catalogue so anyone looking to make a bid should book in to take a look at the property and download the legal pack for free from our website prior to auction day.”
